A little poem
Written by Suet: poem, quote, Rumi, sue 4 Comments
I paraphrased this poem by Mowlana Jalaluddin Rumi in my “about” section. I love the whole thing so much that I thought I would share it.
Come, come, whoever you are
Wonderer, worshipper, lover of leaving.
It doesn’t matter.
Ours is not a caravan of despair.
Come, even if you have broken your vow
a thousand times
Come, yet again, come, come.

What a beautiful poem. Thank you for sharing. I found your blog through your friend Jen (who is participating in the giveaway). Again, thank you for sharing the poem.

The Unitarian Universalist hymnal took most of that poem and turned it into a short hymn that has a really lovely melody. I can’t read it without starting to sing.

yeah I never realized that UU hymn was a Rumi poem! I love it too.
